Crystal Palace Academy sign Amaari Sealey
Crystal Palace have signed attacking midfielder Amaari Sealey from AFC Wimbledon, with the 18-year-old set to join Darren Powell’s Under-21 squad ahead of the new season.
The 18-year-old arrives following an exceptional campaign with Wimbledon’s Under-18s, captaining the side during a historic quadruple-winning season where he produced 47 goal contributions.
SEALEY’S WIMBELDON CAREER
Sealey was with West Ham United since U9s level before joining The Dons four years later.
In 2025/26, he became captain of Wimbledon’s Under-18s, featured in several important cup matches and received his first involvement with the senior side.
In January 2026, Sealey was named on the bench for Wimbledon’s League One match against Doncaster Rovers. Although he remained an unused substitute, it was his first appearance in a senior matchday squad.
Days later, he scored for a young Wimbledon side against Woodford Town in the London Senior Cup.

A QUADRUPLE-WINNING CAPTAIN
Sealey’s final season at Wimbledon was defined by collective success.
Wimbledon’s Under-18s completed a remarkable quadruple, winning their regional league title before adding the EFL Youth Alliance Cup, the Professional Development League Cup and the national Youth Alliance Championship.
Sealey captained the side and played a direct role in several decisive moments.
He scored in the semi-final victory over Luton Town after reacting quickest to a rebound, while his combination play helped Wimbledon create opportunities during their Youth Alliance Cup success against Blackpool.
He then scored Wimbledon’s second goal in their final victory over Shrewsbury Town, helping secure the fourth trophy of the season.
SEALEY’S TRAITS
Sealey’s most obvious quality is his ability to affect matches in attacking areas.
He appears comfortable receiving possession between the opposition’s midfield and defence, where he can turn, combine quickly or move the ball into a teammate’s path.
There is also confidence to his play. Sealey attracted wider attention after scoring from around the halfway line against Leyton Orient, recognising the goalkeeper’s position and attempting a shot that most players would not consider.
That goal should not become his entire profile, but it demonstrated awareness, technique and ambition. Sealey is prepared to take responsibility for difficult attacking actions rather than consistently choosing the safest option – he’s a risk-taker.
His movement is another important part of his game. He does not need to have the ball constantly to influence an attack. He makes runs into scoring areas, reacts to second balls and looks to position himself for cutbacks or rebounds.
Sealey also arrives with leadership experience. Captaining a successful academy side does not guarantee that a player will become a senior leader, but it does indicate that Wimbledon trusted his attitude and influence alongside his technical ability.earned the opportunity to prove that his remarkable final season at Wimbledon was the start of something rather than the peak.
