How we report
- We separate confirmed information from reports, rumours, analysis and opinion.
- Where possible, we trace claims back to primary sources such as club statements, competition records, direct interviews and clearly identified public comments.
- We link or name the source when it helps readers assess a claim for themselves.
- We do not invent quotes, sources, statistics or transfer certainty.
- Headlines and social posts should accurately reflect the article rather than exaggerate what is known.
Opinion and analysis
Football invites disagreement. Opinion pieces reflect the named writer’s view and should still be grounded in observable evidence. Tactical analysis, player profiles and transfer assessments may include informed judgement; we make that distinction clear instead of presenting interpretation as fact.
Corrections and updates
If an article contains a material factual error, we will correct it as promptly as practical. Significant changes may be explained within the article so readers can understand what changed. Developing stories may also be updated as reliable information emerges.

Bylines and accountability
